Wall Sculpture
Wall sculpture is a format that I’ve always worked in over the years, especially early in my career when wall sculptures were a main focus. The clay sculptures were figurative and were often (but not always) mounted to a wooden backboard, old wooden drawers. They acted as context, the thematic setting or the visual environment in which to view the clay sculpture.
In 2025 I decided to revisit the format with new materials, processes and techniques to incorporate with the clay figures that weren’t part of my skill set in the past. Balthir is the first of the new series.
